Please pray for
"The People's Bible" tour taking place from 19 June to 16 November. While celebrating the KJV 400th Anniversary this tour will highlight
technology by encouraging people to use a digital pen to write Bible
verses which will be uploaded to the internet at www.thepeoplesbible.org Pray that this tour will
help many to see the value and relevance of the Bible today.

who attended May's combined UBS World Day of Prayer and Launch of the Faith
Comes by Hearing (FCBH) program in Common Sango, (the national language).
Thank God that many of the Church leaders present have already decided to
organise FCBH listening sessions in their parishes.

Praise God for the release of
42 MegaVoice audio Scripture players in one of the difficult countries in

Please pray for Bible Society's
plans to provide 500 audio Scripture players in various languages to visually
impaired Indians this year. Pray they will be a blessing not only to the
recipients but also to friends as they listen to God's Word. Pray for the
project to reach 30,000 visually impaired people over the next 5 years.

Praise God for the recent
development of "Coming of the Light," to commemorate the 140th Anniversary of
the Coming of the Light Festival in the

Praise
God for the joy with which the first copies of the Gospel of Mark in Romani
were received in the Romani church in Leskovac in April. Pray that having this
Gospel in their heart language will help Romani's grow in and share their
faith. Pray for ongoing work to translate the rest of the Gospels and to
produce audio Scriptures.

Please pray for Ken Doran as he
oversees the many practical and administrative aspects of running a national
organisation. This ranges from everything such as IT and telephone requirements
to vehicle and building maintenance. Some of the changes will include new
email addresses and a national phone number (that will be answered in the state
the call is made from). Pray for smooth changes.

Praise
God for the comfort provided by His Word to people affected by May's attack on
3 Coptic churches and many Christian-owned properties which left 15 dead and
over 200 injured in Imbaba district of Cairo. In response Bible Society
printed 30,000 copies of a new Scripture Selection, "But Trust..." which
has been gratefully received by Imbaba Christians.

20 -
Praise God for the recent
supply of Scriptures to chaplains in schools, hospitals, seafarer's missions
and a Christian Radio Station. Each of these provides outreach
opportunities with people who may rarely or never go to church. Please pray for
God to work through chaplains and these Scriptures to reveal Himself to people
who need to know His Love.
Thursday 21 - Japan
Four months since the
earthquake and tsunami there are still people living at evacuation camps and
many uncertainties with radiation containment. Please pray for Bible Society as
they continue to reach out through relief work, the distribution of Scriptures
and helping affected churches. Pray for people to find hope and comfort through
God's Word.

Praise
God for the safety of Bible Society staff and buildings during the Battle of
Abidjan that ended with the arrest of the President on 11 April. Despite
systematic looting of offices and businesses Bible Society's headquarters were
not looted (though it was shot at and in another district a van and a
translator's laptop were stolen). Ask God to bless Hyppolite Kokora, the main
watchman who stayed near the headquarters during 12 days of shooting and
looting.

God for the translation and publication of the Bible in Huallaga Quechua, the
fourth indigenous Peruvian language to receive the full Bible. Please pray for
a joyful launch of this Bible on 6 August.

In the past, operating as six
separate Bible Societies, a variety of logos have been used in different
states. A new national logo has been decided upon and will soon appear on
all literature, displays, websites etc. Please pray that supporters will
be receptive to the new look even though for some there will be a tinge of
sadness as the old makes way for the new.
Saturday 30 - World
This year the Muslim holy of
month of Ramadan is from 1/8 to 30/8. Please pray for Christians living amongst
and ministering to Muslims. Pray that God will use His Word and His people
to reveal Himself to Muslims.
