Poverty and Justice Bible Launch
On the 14th Sept 2009, the Great Hall of Parliament House in Canberra was the setting for the launch of the Poverty and Justice Bible. The Prime Minister, Mr Kevin Rudd and the Opposition Leader, Mr Malcolm Turnbull were both presented with a Bible and given opportunity to speak. Transcripts of their speeches are available below.
The Bible has been published by the Bible Society in Australia in partnership with World Vision Australia.
